Here it is: the new Honda CB1000F and our latest project bike for 2026!
Honda have created a stunning motorcycle with a clear connection to its iconic machines of the late 1970s and early 1980s, combining unmistakably retro styling with modern performance and technology. It is already attracting plenty of attention - including ours!
Our CB1000F has now arrived at Pyramid, which means the development work can begin. We already have an extensive list of ideas covering styling, protection and practicality, but our main objective is to create products that genuinely suit the character of the bike.

Developing the CB1000F properly
The CB1000F may share some components with the CB1000 Hornet, but visually it is a very different motorcycle.
Simply transferring sharply styled products from the Hornet certainly would not cut it for us. Our new parts will be designed specifically around the CB1000F’s classic lines, with more rounded shapes and colour-matched finishes that look at home on the bike.
A colour-matched belly pan
One of our first major development projects will be a new belly pan.
The engine and exhaust area is currently very open, leaving a number of welds, hoses, electrical tape 🤣 and other components clearly visible. We believe a carefully proportioned belly pan could tidy this area considerably while adding more of the bike’s striking colour scheme lower down.
Our current concept is for a medium-sized design that provides good coverage without overpowering the motorcycle. Most importantly, its shape needs to complement the CB1000F’s retro styling rather than introduce something overly sharp or modern.

Fly screens and front-end styling
We are also planning our own Pyramid fly screen.
Honda already offers a larger café-style option, but our intention is to produce something smaller and more subtle that follows the shape of the headlight and front end. It should add a useful amount of wind protection while still feeling like a natural part of the motorcycle.
We will also be exploring graphics and colour-matched finishes for the front mudguard and potentially the original Honda screen, carrying more of the beautiful blue detailing across the bike.
Seat cowl and retro rear hugger
At the rear, we plan to develop a colour-matched seat cowl that fills the pillion area and continues the original paint scheme towards the back of the motorcycle.
A dedicated rear hugger is also high on our list. Although the existing Hornet hugger can be fitted, it's much too short and its modern shape does not fit the CB1000F's retro styling at all.
We would like to create something with a much more traditional appearance, drawing on our experience developing parts for motorcycles such as the Kawasaki Z900RS. The result should offer more useful protection whilst also looking far more appropriate for the bike’s retro design.
Practical protection for everyday riding
Alongside the larger styling products, we are working through a range of our trademark practical accessories intended to keep the CB1000F better protected.

Handguards
The rear shock and surrounding electrical components are particularly exposed, so a dedicated Shock Shield could provide a simple but valuable barrier against water, dirt and road debris.
The relatively flat headlight is another area we want to protect. A carefully designed headlight guard could prevent expensive damage while also giving us an opportunity to add another subtle styling detail to the front of the bike.
Bringing back the twin-clock appearance
One of the most interesting ideas discussed in the video is a retro-style surround for the standard TFT display.
The rectangular screen provides all the technology expected from a modern motorcycle, but it contrasts quite strongly with the otherwise classic styling. A twin-clock or “shotgun” style surround could help give the display a more traditional appearance without losing the functionality of the original screen.
It is an ambitious idea, but one we think could completely change the view from the rider’s seat.
