A weekend of mixed weather made for some tricky riding conditions on day 1 and 2. However Al once again powered through and qualified for the final race at Oulton Park by way of a top ten finish in the heat race.
The main race took place in the sunshine and another race long battle ensued behind the leading pair. (Mr Cooper can you please slow down a bit) Once again positions swapped every lap with elbows getting wider and wider as the race progressed. Everyone doing their best Ben Spies impressions by the end.
The final order saw Al finish in a strong 12th position, unfortunately a bit of late race arm pump put an end to a top 10 result. Awesome work in a very strong field of competitors.
Next time out the BMW F 900 R Cup is part of the World Superbike Weekend at Donington Park from the 30th of June to the 2nd of July.
