Smart: The charging box is powered via the contacts of the navigation holder or the ConnectedRide Mount Two Quick Charge ports: USB A and USB C

On the right-hand side of the housing, it features two USB ports – USB 3.1 Type A and USB 3.1 Type C – which comply with QC 3.0 and QC 4.0 Quick Charge standards (QC = Quick Charge).

The charging box’s activity is indicated by a blue LED status light, clearly visible directly above the two USB ports.

The charging box is splash-proof. When not in use, the ports can be sealed with precisely fitting elastomer covers to protect them from water spray and dust.

More than just a charging box: The SP-Connect Anti-Vibration Module SPC+ with inductive charging function included in this set

The centrally positioned threaded mount is designed to accommodate our SP-Connect Anti-Vibration Module SPC+ with inductive charging function, which is included in this set. The anti-vibration module is the innovative answer to increasingly sensitive modern smartphones. These devices contain delicate components that may be affected by persistent vibrations from the engine and chassis. Thanks to the effective damping provided by the specially developed elastomer inlay, the Anti-Vibration Module reduces these vibrations by up to 60%. Once screwed in place, the module can be used to mount and charge smartphones. For this purpose, the model-specific SP-Connect smartphone protective case SPC+ (45150-xxx) suitable for your device is also required.

At the front, our charging box is additionally equipped with four screws. These are precisely arranged to match the standardised hole pattern of various mounting systems, such as the bracket of the Garmin Zumo XT navigation device. This allows such mounting systems to be securely and space-efficiently bolted to the charging box in no time at all, while simultaneously connecting the devices to the power supply.

Sustainable without compromise

For the production of the charging box, we use a hybrid material made from recycled plastics, reinforced with 20% glass fibre. This ensures low component weight combined with high housing strength. In this way, we protect the environment without compromising on component stability.
