Our passenger seat, unique on the market, offers – in terms of ergonomics, padding properties and above all size – the high level of today’s premium rider seats. The precise cut of the cover, the elaborate seam routing and the craftsmanship of our upholsterers ensure an appearance that – despite a generous increase of 70 millimeters in seat width compared to the standard version – integrates wonderfully and discreetly into the design of the BMW R 1300 GS. At the same time, seat pressure is reduced thanks to the significantly enlarged surface area, resulting in noticeably greater comfort.

Quite simply because many customers have asked for it. Especially those who forgo the pleasure of riding together on tours and trips simply because the comfort of today’s standard passenger seats is barely sufficient for a ride to the nearest ice cream café – and otherwise hard to endure.

We manufacture our seats with a specific, characteristic and especially ergonomic 3D contour. A special feature of our passenger seat is the integrated support contour at the front of the seat, which provides additional secure hold during braking. Integrated in this way, riding becomes relaxed and dynamic. And without doubt, relaxed seating creates an added level of active safety. Because the requirements for rider and passenger differ, BMW specialist Wunderlich manufactures its AKTIVKOMFORT seats with a specific contour for rider and passenger. The contour differs in detail according to the respective requirements. For both, the following applies: The proven, characteristic ergonomic 3D contour, as well as the shape and inclination of the elaborately crafted seat core, support the ergonomically beneficial, natural pelvic posture.

The “sagging” of the padding is reliably prevented thanks to the sophisticated construction, and seat pressure is evenly distributed over a larger surface area, resulting in noticeably reduced specific pressure load. Pleasant! The ergonomic shape of the special foam also relieves the sensitive tailbone.

They provide perfect support and active, safe control during dynamic riding, especially when braking: Who hasn’t experienced the passenger suddenly pushing forward from behind during heavy braking, requiring immediate support while possibly also steering in a critical situation? With Wunderlich’s specially developed support contour, these startling braking moments are a thing of the past.
