Our unique passenger seat on the market offers a high level of ergonomics, cushioning, and—most importantly—size, on par with modern, high-quality rider seats. The shape of the cover, the intricate seam design, and the handcrafted finish by our upholsterers create a look that blends seamlessly with the BMW R 1300 GS, despite its generous 70 mm width increase compared to the stock seat. At the same time, the significantly larger seating surface reduces pressure, providing noticeably greater comfort.

Quite simply, because many customers ask for it. Especially those who would love to enjoy motorcycle touring together but find that the stock passenger seats are only good for short trips to the local café, rather than long journeys.

• Before the seat is reinstalled as usual, the electrical connection to the motorcycle's onboard power supply simply needs to be established. This is done via plug & play.
• The desired heating level (Off, Heating Level 1, Heating Level 2) can be adjusted as usual using a conveniently positioned switch on the right-hand side of the seat in the direction of travel.
• The rider is informed via the onboard menu display when the pillion seat heating element is activated.

For a play-free, stable and permanently secure connection of our passenger seats for the BMW R 1300 GS, we have opted for the use of a one-piece base shell. Only the precisely fitting design with fixed positioning of the passenger seat ensures the secure fit our customers expect.

We manufacture our seats with a specific, distinctive, particularly ergonomic 3-D contour. A key feature of our passenger seat is the integrated support contour in the front section, providing extra stability when braking. This integration allows for a relaxed yet active riding experience. And, without a doubt, relaxed sitting increases active safety. Our ThermoPro rider and passenger seats remain up to 25°C cooler in direct summer sunlight than conventional seat materials.

AKTIVKOMFORT seat with adjustable Smart Plug & Play heating

Smart Plug & Play: This comfort-heated seat replaces the original seat. A prerequisite is that the original seat is also equipped with heating and that the motorcycle has the corresponding power supply.

Before inserting the seat as usual, the electrical connection to the motorcycle’s onboard system must be made. This is done using the pre-configured Plug & Play cable! The desired heating level (Off, Heating Level 1, Heating Level 2) can be adjusted as usual using a conveniently positioned switch on the right-hand side of the seat in the direction of travel, while the rider is notified in the onboard menu when the pillion seat heating element is activated.

The AKTIVKOMFORT heating element consists of a durable fleece material into which a fine, highly tensile and resistant heating wire made of stainless steel filament is integrated. This complex and durable design ensures uniform, particularly pleasant heat distribution, significantly increasing seat comfort. Its flexibility allows it to withstand the strong strains resulting from movement, stretching, and compression of the seat cushion while sitting and riding.
