Our unique passenger seat on the market offers, in terms of ergonomics, cushioning properties and especially size, the high standard of modern premium rider seats. The cut of the cover, the elaborate seam pattern and the craftsmanship of our saddlers ensure an appearance that – despite a generous increase of 70 millimetres in seat width compared to the standard seat – integrates wonderfully discreetly into the design of the BMW R 1300 GS. At the same time, the seat pressure is reduced due to the significantly enlarged surface area, resulting in noticeably greater comfort.

Why do we do this?

Quite simply because many customers ask for it. Especially those who forgo the shared pleasure of touring and travelling together by motorcycle simply because the seating comfort of today’s standard passenger seats is at best suitable for a short ride to the nearest ice cream parlour – but otherwise hard to endure.

We manufacture our seats with a specific, characteristic and particularly ergonomic 3D contour. A special feature of our passenger seat is the integrated support contour at the front of the seat, which provides additional secure hold when braking. Integrated in this way, riding becomes relaxed and dynamic at the same time. And without doubt, relaxed seating creates an important plus in active safety. AKTIVKOMFORT seat with adjustable seat heating Smart Plug & Play

Smart Plug & Play: This seat with comfort seat heating replaces the original seat. The prerequisite is that the original seat is also equipped with seat heating and that the motorcycle has the corresponding power supply.

Before installing the seat as usual, only the electrical connection to the motorcycle’s on-board system needs to be established. This is done using the appropriate pre-assembled Plug & Play cable! The individual adjustment of the desired heating level (Off, Level 1, Level 2) can be made via an easily accessible switch located on the right-hand side of the seat in the direction of travel, while the rider is informed in the on-board menu when the passenger seat heating element is activated.

The AKTIVKOMFORT heating element consists of a robust fleece into which a fine yet extremely tensile and durable stainless steel filament heating wire is integrated and laid in numerous loops. This elaborate construction, designed for durability and resilience, ensures even and particularly pleasant heat distribution, significantly increases seating comfort and provides the necessary elasticity required to permanently compensate for the heavy stresses caused by movement, stretching and compression of the seat padding when mounting and riding.

Because the requirements for rider and passenger differ, BMW specialist Wunderlich manufactures its AKTIVKOMFORT seats with a specific contour for rider and passenger. The contour for rider and passenger differs in detail due to the differentiated requirements. For both, the following applies: The proven, characteristic ergonomic 3D contour, as well as the shape and inclination of the elaborately crafted seat core, support the ergonomically advantageous natural pelvic posture.

The “sagging” of the padding is reliably prevented thanks to the sophisticated construction, and seat pressure is evenly distributed over a larger surface area, resulting in noticeably reduced specific pressure load.
