Our passenger seat, unique on the market, offers – in terms of ergonomics, cushioning properties and above all size – the high standard of today’s premium rider seats. The cut of the cover, the elaborate seam design and the craftsmanship of our saddlers ensure an appearance that – despite a generous increase of 70 millimetres in seat width compared to the standard version – integrates wonderfully discreetly into the design of the BMW R 1300 GS. At the same time, seat pressure is reduced due to the significantly enlarged surface area, resulting in noticeably greater comfort.

Why do we do this?

Quite simply, because many customers have asked us to. Especially those who forgo the pleasure of touring and travelling together on their motorcycle because the comfort of today’s standard passenger seats is suitable at best for a short ride to the nearest ice cream parlour – but otherwise simply not tolerable.

Because the requirements of rider and passenger differ, BMW specialist Wunderlich manufactures its AKTIVKOMFORT seats with a specific contour for each. The contour for rider and passenger differs in detail due to the differentiated requirements. For both, the following applies: the proven, characteristic ergonomic 3D contour as well as the shape and inclination of the elaborately crafted seat core support the ergonomically beneficial, natural pelvic posture.

The “sitting through” of the padding is reliably prevented thanks to the sophisticated construction, and seat pressure is evenly distributed over a larger area, resulting in noticeably reduced specific pressure load.
