Tough’n’Rough – the functional integral design of the Wunderlich ULTIMATE EXTREME engine protection
The functional design and structural integration of our ULTIMATE EXTREME engine protection shield the engine housing, oil sump and manifolds. It hugs the engine unit without limiting ground or lean angle clearance. The shape of the protector reduces the risk of unpleasant levering or snagging in off-road terrain, whether caused by branches, rubble or rocks. Openings ensure that water taken up during river crossings can drain away freely.
The angled impact plates deflect stones or foreign objects thrown up by the front wheel, significantly reducing the risk of damage to the manifolds and engine. Another advantage of this engine protection: it deflects splash water downwards, especially when the engine is hot, thereby considerably reducing thermal stress on the engine housing, manifolds and seals.
The complex component shape and material thickness are the result of an off-road orientation, enabling us to achieve high structural rigidity and mechanical stability. The result is a resistant, uncompromising and form-optimised engine protection for ambitious, off-road-oriented riders. The countersunk screws offer no contact surface and underline the edge-design adventure look perfectly.
The high-quality engine protection is securely bolted using precise, pre-existing connection points on the motorcycle. External forces and torques are distributed to the mountings to reduce load and torque peaks. Vibrations are effectively absorbed.
