Compatibility Notes

• The engine protection bar is not compatible with the original BMW cylinder head cover
• Applies only to the R 1250 GS: Our mounting kit #26442-300 allows installation of the engine protection bar also in combination with the milled Option 719 valve covers – please order separately. Alternatively, the original slider guard can be removed

The engine protection bar not only reliably protects the cylinders and valve covers, but also both lambda sensors. The all-round protection concept enhances passive safety and contributes to riding pleasure. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the acting forces are optimally distributed via the protection bar structure to the robust mounting points, preventing force and torque peaks and effectively reducing material stress.

The engine protection bar is made of 25-millimetre precision steel tubing. The tube segments are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then neatly welded. Visually, the protection bar integrates harmoniously into the motorcycle’s design and emphasises its distinctive appearance. For our protection bars, both protective function and product design are paramount. The engine protection bar nestles around the boxer engine and enhances your BMW in a high-quality way. The surface is powder-coated in white and serves as a striking visual highlight.
