Our EXTREME cases and top cases are not mass-produced goods – quite the opposite! They are manufactured in small batches, crafted one by one in the workshops of experienced master craftsmen. These specialists, like us, place great value on the highest quality and precision.

The Wunderlich EXTREME DirectLock cases lock into the original BMW case carrier for the aluminium cases of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure
Function and product features
- EXTREME case set regular, which is a total of 80 mm wider (40 mm per side wider than the slimline version #13608-100) and offers an impressive 90 litres of storage volume
- With the Wunderlich DirectLock system integrated into the cases, they are hooked directly into the mounts of the original case carrier for BMW aluminium cases
- Locking to the carrier is done at the rear – theft protection is provided by a lockable latch between case and carrier at the front
- High-quality, robust case set in adventure look – pure aluminium
- No cutout for maximum storage space
- Toploader: easy to load from above
- Lids can be opened either forwards or backwards, or removed completely
- Stainless steel closure system for the case lid, including discreet embossed Wunderlich brand logo

To ensure you only need one key for your luggage system, we offer keyed-alike locking cylinders. Each case requires three cylinders – two for the case lid fittings and one for the DirectLock mechanism attaching the case to the carrier. Please order the locking cylinders separately with the following part number:

Matching top cases EXTREME and EXTREME maXLine
The EXTREME cases with DirectLock system can be combined with the EXTREME top cases (#30167-40x) and EXTREME maXLine (#30167-70x). The top cases are also available in aluminium finish or black.
Recommendation: If you wish to combine cases and top cases, please order the locking cylinder set with eight keyed-alike cylinders (six for the cases and two for the top case).

The Wunderlich EXTREME cases with DirectLock system – in the slimline version 80 millimetres narrower – with a full 90 litres of storage volume
Whether for motorway travel, a trip to the North Cape or crossing a desert: these stable, lightweight and stylish aluminium EXTREME cases will stand by you through thick and thin! Mounting them to the carrier is straightforward thanks to the quick-release system. Their special sealing system makes them absolutely dust- and waterproof. The consistent use of exclusively high-quality materials ensures the durability of our “EXTREME” luggage system. Contributing to this are the 1.5 mm aluminium sheet with reinforcing beads (weight-optimised yet robust), the stainless-steel fittings, the replaceable all-round corner protection and the protective caps for the locks.
Thanks to the additional lashing loops on the lid, further luggage – for example our Rack Pack bags – can be secured safely. The inside of the lids is equipped as standard with practical luggage nets for anything you need quickly at hand on the road: rain gear, tools or a first-aid kit.
After opening both hinge locks on the front and rear, the lid can be completely removed and the cases can be loaded comfortably from above. If only one of the two locks is opened, the other functions like a hinge. The lid can therefore be opened forwards or backwards and is held in place by a retaining strap.
The untreated aluminium version is aimed at purists who appreciate the materiality and character of the original, untreated and robust material.
